Truth and Reconciliation Bill tabled in Upper Cabinet

The Truth and Reconciliation Bill has been introduced before the National Assembly on Sunday by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal.
As per sources, the bill tries to broaden the residencies of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons (CIEDP).
The point of the bill is to address the worries of the contention exploited people who have for quite some time been requesting a patch up of the two commissions.
With the terms of the two commissions, shaped in 2015, set to terminate on February 9, concerns were becoming about the eventual fate of transitional equity process which has been delayed for over 10 years since a harmony bargain marked between the then seven-party coalition and the radical Maoists, which formally finished the decade-long respectful war in 2006.
